Angelina Jolie leaves role as UN refugee agency ambassador
UNHCR praises actor for her ‘tireless’ work in countries including Yemen and Burkina Faso since 2001
Angelina Jolie is stepping down from her role as an ambassador for the UN’s refugee agency.
The Oscar-winning actor said refugees were “the people I admire most in the world” and that she would now focus her time working with organisations led by people most directly affected by conflict.
